This course is designed to introduce the responsible pistol owner to the basics of carrying a concealed weapon. This is a one day 8 to 10 hour course consisting of roughly 60% class time and the remaining 40% on-range with our certified FBI Firearms Instructors. Items that are covered in this course include but are not limited to the following:

- basic pistol parts and operation
- purpose and proper handling of ammunition and it's liability
- correct shooting fundamentals and hands-on instruction on the range
- marksmanship fundamentals
- static dry-firing
- individual live fire coaching
- precision live fire coaching
- malfunction drills
- carry concealed weapon (CCW) discussion
- tactical reloading
- proper pistol cleaning and storage techniques
- activity and skill review
Participants who successfully complete this course will receive an attractive certificate of completion that they can also use as proof of successful handgun training to apply for a CCW (Concealed Carry) permit*.

*This course is currently only being offered in Colorado and does meet the Colorado Revised Statute requirements for CCW pre-requisite training. Courses are scheduled to begin May of 2007. Completion of this course does not guarantee a CCW, the applicant must still go through the standard process that the State has defined including a background check. For additional information on obtaining your CCW please check with your local Sheriffs Office.

We will work with you to get you the training that you require; it should be noted though that while this course should be adequate for most Concealed Weapon training pre-requisites, the laws and statutes do vary from state to state.
